Redefining richness
through biomarkers.
Redefining richness through biomarkers.
People can only pursue what they can measure — which is why the world has long taken money and efficiency as its measure of richness. From biosignals such as brainwaves, pulse, heart rate and hormone balance, IKI turns what was once invisible — sensibility, comfort, the states of mind and body — into “biomarkers,” metrics we can actually read. When the invisible becomes measurable, human choices change — and the world’s very definition of richness begins to change with them.
Making the states of mind and body visible from biological data — and helping create the experiences, environments and services best suited to each person.
Identify
Pin down the right question before chasing answers.
The sharp question no one has yet posed.
What does not yet exist is always born there.
Kind
Measuring is never the goal in itself.
"Whose life, and for what, does this technology serve?" We refuse technical self-indulgence and stay fixed on enriching people's everyday lives.
That is what we mean by kindness.
Iterate
No answer is waiting to be found.
We refuse to be boxed in by conventional wisdom — try, verify, and try again.
Failure is just a waypoint. The answer is something we create beyond it.
She teaches not only in the Faculty of Science and Technology at Keio University but also, in the medical field, at Fujita Health University and the College of Medicine of National Taiwan University. She is a leading authority in signal-processing research that estimates emotions and illness from the signals the body emits, such as EEG and pulse waves. Starting from the analysis of brain and pulse waves, her research spans affect (KANSEI), sleep, the circulatory system, and early indicators of illness such as the early detection of dementia. She has built a proprietary analysis platform centred on her patented real-time noise-rejection algorithm. Her research has appeared in numerous academic journals and has earned many awards. In 2024 she founded IKI Japan Inc. as a base for bringing her research into practical use in society.
Cut the noise.
Keep the signal.
IKI begins with signal-processing technologies of every kind, all built on its patented real-time noise-rejection algorithm. By separating signal from noise at the point of measurement rather than in post-processing, we promise reproducible data across differences of device and environment. Biomarker construction holds only on top of this foundation.
Acquire the subtle changes the body emits — EEG, pulse waves, video, mouth movement — from any device class.
Separate noise in real time and align measurements across heterogeneous devices and environments.
Layer state-estimation algorithms for affect, sleep, circulation, speech and hormones on top of a clean signal.
Different signals,one body.
Whatever the device or setting, the same body yields the same physiological readings. With its own noise-rejection algorithm as the common ground, IKI reads a range of biosignals — from EEG and pulse waves to camera footage and speech — on a single biomarker foundation.
Affect
Quantify the emotions people can’t consciously register — and the responses they can’t put into words — continuously, from brain waves and pulse.
Five-stage sleep staging
Five-stage sleep staging — wake, REM, light, moderate, deep — from a single pulse signal, no electrodes.
Heart rate & blood pressure
Camera-only sensing. Read heart rate, HRV and blood-pressure trends from a face on screen.
Silent speech
Read words from the mouth, even when there is no voice to hear.
Hormone levels
Track hormone dynamics from biosignals — without a needle, without a lab.
KANSEI Analyzer
Make the sensibility no one can put into words visible — read from the brain, once a second.
KANSEI Analyzer is the product form of IKI’s sensibility-estimation technology. Built on an EEG database and algorithms developed over roughly two decades, it makes interest, liking, focus, stress and calmness visible in real time — with nothing but a compact EEG headset and a tablet.
- Interest 72
- Liking 64
- Focus 81
- Stress 23
- Calmness 47
Two decades of EEG data
Sensibility estimation grounded in ~20 years of EEG data and proprietary algorithms — metrics with academic backing.
The unspoken truth
Surface the latent, unconscious reactions a questionnaire can’t reach. Put a number on the “somehow”.
Anywhere, instantly
Just a small headset and a tablet. Low wearing burden, and noise rejection lets you measure even in the field.
Second-by-second
Capture five metrics in real time, synced to video or audio — so you can pinpoint the moment the mind moves.
Evidence building
Prove the effect of foods, drinks, bathing or cosmetics with EEG — grounding PR and product claims.
Ad & creative testing
Measure unconscious reactions to ads, packaging and content, and refine the creative.
Space & environment
Visualise how an office or store affects focus, stress and comfort.
Neuromarketing
Capture the latent needs a survey can’t reach — a starting point for product and marketing.
Built on academic,
IP and clinical networks.
