IKI designates a person responsible for the handling of personal information; inquiries regarding personal information are received through the inquiry form at the end of this Policy.

2. 2. Information We Collect and How

   IKI collects the personal information you enter into our inquiry form (name, company/affiliation, email address, and the content of your inquiry). The inquiry form is operated using an external service (Google Forms); submitted entries are delivered to an account managed by IKI. In research activities and in providing our services, IKI may collect biosignal data — such as EEG, pulse waves, heart rate, facial video, voice, and hormone-related information — within the scope of consent obtained in advance in writing or by other means.

3. 3. Purpose of Use

   We use personal information to (1) respond to and follow up on inquiries and requests; (2) consider and carry out joint research, PoCs, and business partnerships; (3) conduct recruitment screening and related communication; (4) improve IKI's research and development, and provide and improve its products and services (such as the KANSEI Analyzer); and (5) comply with legal obligations. We will obtain your consent before using the information beyond these purposes.

4. 4. Third-Party Provision and Outsourcing

   Except where required by law or where you have consented, we do not provide personal information to third parties. To the extent necessary to carry out our operations, we may entrust tasks such as form operation and data storage to external service providers, and we supervise such providers appropriately. Handling of research data with collaborating institutions is carried out under separate agreements and consent.

5. 5. Provision to Third Parties Overseas

   Google Forms (provided by Google LLC), used to operate our inquiry form, may store and process submitted information on servers outside Japan (for example, in the United States). This may constitute provision of personal information to a third party located in a foreign country. We use the service after confirming that it maintains a reasonable level of security.

6. 6. Handling of Biosignal and Research Data

   Biosignal data such as EEG and pulse waves, and information about physical and mental states inferred from them, are treated with particular care as health-related information. Such data is used only within the scope of the purpose explained and consented to (informed consent) at the time of research participation, and is managed in accordance with the ethical review and data-management rules of the relevant and collaborating institutions.

7. 7. Security Measures

   To prevent leakage, loss, or damage of personal information and otherwise ensure its safe management, we take necessary and appropriate measures, including access-privilege management, protection of storage and communications, and supervision of personnel who handle the data. We retain personal information only for the period necessary to achieve the purpose of use, and appropriately delete information that is no longer needed.

8. 8. Your Rights Regarding Retained Personal Data

   With respect to the retained personal data we hold, you may request notification of the purpose of use, disclosure, correction/addition/deletion of its content, suspension of use or erasure, and suspension of third-party provision. 9. 9. Cookies and Analytics

   This website (iki-sci.com) does not use cookies or analytics tools that identify individual visitors. To render pages, it loads web fonts from an external service (Google Fonts), which may transmit technical information such as the visitor's IP address to the provider. If we introduce analytics or similar tools in the future, we will revise this Policy.
